3 Days in Geneva, Switzerland
day 1 Visit Jardin Anglais The Jardin Anglais make for a cute stop while exploring the Grab a beer at Les Brasseurs Les Brasseurs is a popular brewery in Geneva. It is located just across from the main train station in the city center. It is a great place to stop and grab a beer and taste a raclette. day 2 Explore Old town Geneve Similar to most places in Switzerland, they each have a very cute and historical old town which makes a great place to walk around and explore. I love looking at all the older architecture and medieval buildings. I find these original towns so cool and…

Explore Switzerland in One Week
In November of 2020, I took a trip to Switzerland with my parents. Switzerland quickly became on of my favorite countries. It has beautiful rolling hills, historic city centers and plenty of cheese fondue (although to be honest, I prefer chocolate fondue). The country is actually pretty small, which means if you only have 1 week in Switzerland, it is very doable to visit multiple places. Our trip started in Zurich and ended in Geneva. We actually flew in and out of Zurich and took a train back from Geneva on our last day, which was only a 4 hour train ride. November was a great time to visit Switzerland.…

14-Day National Park Road Trip Itinerary
Almost two years ago on a separate road trip, I had the opportunity to visit Zion National Park. Since I was driving cross country at the time and was on a time limit, I only had about a day and a half to spend there. Since then, it has been my goal to get back. Hence the inspiration for our 14-day national park road trip. We decided the easiest way to do a road trip was to rent a campervan so we could be as spontaneous as we’d like and make any stops we’d like. We rented through a company called VanCraft, located in Oceanside, CA. These vans have everything…

Things to do in Burlington, VT
Burlington, VT is the perfect weekend getaway destination for anyone who lives in the New England area or even for those that don’t! Since COVID hit, we haven’t been able to get out of the house really at all. I was craving a vacation! Escaping to Burlington, VT gave me the perfect dose of those travel endorphins I have been missing. It was far enough away from Boston to forget about work and truly feel like we were on vacation but close enough so we didn’t have to risk a plane ride in the middle of a pandemic. If you’re looking for things to do in Burlington, VT, check out…

Things to do in Lucerne, Switzerland
Lucerne, Switzerland is the perfect place to spend a couple days or a long weekend. We spent 3 days in Lucerne while on our tour through Switzerland, after Spending 2 Days in Zurich. Lucerne (or Luzern) is a beautiful, quaint town that offers all the Swiss charm you could dream of. I would have loved to stay longer as there are so many fun things to do in Lucerne, Switzerland. Explore Old Town We arrived in Lucerne around mid-day on Sunday. The center of old town is a manageable walk from the train station. The town itself is relatively small, making it easy for us to find our way to…

Fondue Hike in Gstaad, Switzerland
Yes, you read that right. There is legitimately a hike that it solely dedicated to the consumption of fondue in Switzerland. I stumbled upon this gem while searching for hikes to go on while on vacation in Switzerland. I immediately decided this was something we had to do. This experience is available in an adorable, small resort town located in the Swiss alps, Gstaad. We went to Gstaad specifically for this hike so we only stayed one night, I wish we had made our stay longer to experience more of this quaint town. The fondue hike is apart of a whole experience put on by Fondueland Gstaad and is one of the…

3 Days in Barcelona, Spain
Oh, Barcelona. One of my favorite cities in the world! In college, I studied abroad in this amazing city for 3 months. This past January, I finally got the chance to return. Sadly only for 3 days instead of 3 months. However, this time I was able to bring my mom with me . I was so excited at the opportunity to show her all of my favorite places in Barcelona. Since it was my mom’s first time in the city, I wanted to make the most out of our 3 days in Barcelona and be sure she saw everything there was to see. Day 1: Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral,…

2 Days in Zurich, Switzerland
I recently visited Zurich, Switzerland on a family vacation with my parents. Zurich was the first stop on our itinerary so we only had 2 days to make the most out of our stay. Luckily, the city made that very easy for us! We arrived on a Friday morning around 11am. Like the majority of Europe, Zurich has great public transportation and our hotel was easily accessible by a quick train and bus ride. It wasn’t the most enjoyable thing to lug large suitcases around, but we made it work. By 3pm we were in our rooms, showered and ready to take on the city. Day 1 Our first day…

A Night in the Sahara Desert
The Sahara Desert is a truly magical place to spend a night. On a trip to Morocco, while studying abroad, my friend and I decided we couldn’t miss out on this experience. So with the help of our hostel, we booked a trip into the Sahara for the next night. We departed from Marrakesh, where we took a ride into the beginning of the desert. We came to the initial starting point for the adventure into the desert. Here is where we got acquainted with our new camel best friends and saddled to spend a night in the Sahara Desert. The trek into the desert took about 2 hours until…

How to Spend 48 Hours in New Orleans
Back in College a group of us decided to take the weekend and road trip down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The road trip in itself was an adventure and took us 27 hours of straight driving to get there. We ended up going the weekend after Fat Tuesday so we weren’t there when the party was in full swing, but that didn’t seem to slow anything down! So if you have limited time to spend in New Orleans and want to make the most of it, continue reading to find out how we spent 48 hours in New Orleans. Day 1 Go on a Swamp Tour Something New…
